Driftwood Estate Winery Brings in the New Year with Silver & Gold at San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

Driftwood Estate Winery only entered two wines into the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and they both brought home a medal! Driftwood Estate Winery is looking forward to a fabulous year in 2012!

The 2012 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition has set a new American wine competition record with an astounding 5,500 entries, surpassing its previous record of 5,050 last year. For nine consecutive years, this prestigious competition holds strong as the “Largest Competition of American Wines in the World.

Driftwood Estate Winery was honored with:

Gold Medal ~ 2011 Muscat Canelli This off dry wine has just 2% residual sugar. Ideal for paring with spicy foods or enjoy by itself. The grapes are from the Lepard Vineyard in the High Plains of West Texas.

Silver Medal~2011 Cuvee Blanc This field blend of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Viognier and Muscat is a dry white wine made in stainless steel with no oak. The grapes are from our estate vineyard in Driftwood.
